I had a lot of help to get my tiered garden area back in shape. After several years of failed vegetable gardens, I decided to make it a flower bed. Mom spent last weekend with me, transplanting perennials from both of our gardens. Yesterday we shopped for some beautiful azaleas and culinary herbs.
The first level includes herbs. To the left, there is mint, catnip and lemon balm. To the right, there is parsley, lavender, oregano, sage, chives, cilantro, basil, terragon and possibly a few others that I've already forgotten.
The second level has perennials such as Phlox, Dusty Miller, Hybrid Daylillies, Blue Star and some others that I've also already forgotten!
The final tier now contains two beautiful azaleas. I hope this spot will work well for them! I do have a vacancy to the right in this top tier and have yet to decide what will work best.
