We welcomed Connor, Ceilee and kittens, Ellie and Eva, last weekend. It was fun having the energy of the little kittens in the house but it was super cute when they finally slowed down to nap!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
On Christmas day, Zach and I planned to open our gifts together in the morning before heading over to my parents' house. Unfortunately, Otis unexpectedly had a seizure early that morning and I was very concerned about leaving him home alone. Otis has never had a seizure before and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Thankfully within about an hour, he was back to normal. We ended up leaving later than planned but we were still able to participate in the group unwrapping at my parents' house with Steve, Angela, Melisa, Thom, Viv and Annalise. It was a bit chaotic, as you might guess!
Then for New Year's, I wasn't able to join Zach for his family's New Year's celebration because I was sick. We didn't want to take any chances with his grandparents' fragile health. I was really disappointed, especially since I didn't get to join them last year for the same reason!
With that said, our holidays weren't perfect, but they were close! Here's to New Year's wishes that 2016 brings much happiness and health!

Somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas, things happened but I don't have many photos to share to prove it. But here are a few:
Nicci and I enjoyed making Christmas cookies with her girls, Marine and Phoebe. Last year I was sick and we didn't get a chance to bake together until Valentine's Day. Perhaps we'll do that again this year. The girls really enjoy it and it's fun to have a friend to bake with!
Remy visited with his friend Sprite for a week while his family was on vacation. They enjoyed each other's company and I enjoyed warm December walks!
I repaired a quilt that Angela received as a gift. The original quilt design included the center four squares in the middle and I created the rest of the design to enlarge it.
I made an apron for Viv's Christmas gift.
Zach prepared a beef roast for our Christmas Eve dinner. It was delicious!
We hosted dinner at our house and everyone but Brian packed themselves around two tables. Ten people and four dogs was a bit crazy, but so was the weather- an amazingly warm 70 degrees!
