And since the cross stitch project is also on my list of things to do, here's a look at it currently. Everything except the black portion of the sewing machine is new since the beginning of January.

Bag for Cross Stitch - Done
Despite a rather unproductive weekend, I did manage to create this bag for my cross stitch. First attempt at using snaps - didn't go that well, so I called in Zach and he helped me out.

Odd and Ends
Well, I was unable to upload videos of Beeker's tricks to my blog, so they have been added to my facebook page instead. I hope you all have a chance to look at them! He really loves doing his tricks and he's really quite good at them too.
Today we finally said good-bye to our Christmas tree. (yeah, that's right...we've had it up until today!) It was a rather messy process. By the time it made its way outside, the entire top half was void of needles, which meant they were all in the house waiting for us to clean them up. Ugh.
We celebrated Zach's birthday on Thursday and will continue the celebration throughout the weekend. Today I will make a birthday cake and tomorrow we will go to my parents for dinner. Zach's family will come into town on the 6th to celebrate at Confit!
No pictures to add because I was hoping for the video. I'll continue to work on that.
Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Farm Show
I feel lost without my camera which I left at the in-laws. I can make a blog entry so much better if I add pictures. But alas, I can't do that today, so bear with me.
I can, however, direct you to the Pennsylvania Cable Network to check out some views from the PA Farm Show. They have 24/7 airing of (mostly) boring shots of the food, crafts, people, and judging of exhibitors. Sometimes (infrequently) they know what they're talking about. Yet, for some reason I still watch it....go figure.
Zach and I visited the farm show on Saturday. We both love the rodeo, but for different reasons. For me, it's the thrill of seeing the animals get a chance to get back at the humans for keeping them caged up and riding on their backs. But that's just my opinion...
Anyway, this year's high school rodeo participants went pretty much unscathed except for one kid who missed his calf in the calf-roping and proceeded to run his horse toward the end of the arena at which point it promptly put on its breaks and the kid flew off the horse and straight into the metal gates. The kid dropped like a fly, but got right back up. He was just a couple inches from knocking his head. It was quite incredible. He looked like one of the crash test dummies.
Anyway, it was fun. It's a day out that we both agree not to worry about what we eat. Which means it's perfectly fine to have a baked potato, potato donuts and a milkshake in the same meal! Love it!
>>Insert picture of Zach and I at the Rodeo...I'm sure we'd both be smiling!<<
