Sewing for Babies

I was a bit delayed in creating baby shower gifts for my two cousins.  They celebrated together in MI a few months ago and I, unfortunately, wasn't able to join them.  They're both expecting their first baby and I'm so excited for them!  I normally  make a baby quilt for my friend's and family's first baby, but since these ladies are pretty crafty themselves, I wanted to create something different.

Emily's keeping the sex of her baby a surprise, so I chose this neutral linen outfit.  It's a kimono-inspired top and pant set.  They are both infant patterns, but the pants look quite a bit bigger than the top, so I'm not sure if the baby will be able to wear it as a set, or as separates.  Either way, it will make a really nice dress outfit for Baby!

Annie's gift will be revealed in another week, once I have it shipped!!!
