He was found along the road by a kind woman who took him in, provided his first vaccines, and neutered him. Unfortunately she was unable to keep him and due to the intense overcrowding in the local shelters, she expressed a need for another foster/permanent home for him to my mother whom she met hiking at Kings' Gap. I agreed to make arrangements for a foster home amongst my coworkers, but once I met him and his sweet personality, I wanted Zach to meet him. Zach also fell in love and we decided to keep him as part of our family.
We are very slowly introducing him to our boys, who are curious but definitely not thrilled by his presence. There probably won't be any great connections between them, but I think it will work out OK. Time will tell! This little guy doesn't have a name yet, but we're working on it. He loves cuddling, purring, kneading and suckling our blanket on the bed!
