Today I attended and participated in a memorial service for one of the members of our congregation. Harry passed away on Tuesday, just two days after his 86th birthday. As a new member to the church, I only knew Harry as another member of our church choir and that he had quite a determined spirit! Just two weeks prior to his passing, he was sitting across the choir room from me, singing with his nicely in-tune tenor voice. At his memorial service today, I learned more of his life, his beliefs, and his purpose in life. It was quite a powerful time of remembrance that brought me to tears as the church choir sang "Give Me Jesus." He is now at home with our Lord. Peace to him and his family.
